These little helpers are a girl’s best friend any day of the week. But on your wedding day? Essential!
Here are our tips for wedding make-up that lets your beauty shine through:
Face Primers—This little wonder fills in pores and makes your skin look smoother. Just what you want on your big day! Plus, it helps your make-up to last longer.
Concealers—The concealers we find most effective are those that specialize. For example, a green concealer neutralizes redness in the skin. This is particularly helpful if you have rosacea or a pimple that pops up unexpectedly.
A yellow concealer neutralizes blue tones. This works extremely well for under eye circles.
Lavender neutralizes yellowness. If your skin tone tends to be sallow, this concealer color corrects in a nano second!
Illuminators/Highlighters—For that wedding day glow, apply highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones, on the inner corners of your eyes around the tear ducts, and just under your brow. Don’t go overboard! That’s the key to keeping your look natural and glowy.
Lipstick—Choose a lasting color. Lip stains are wonderful. They give a nice color to your lips while lasting for hours. Make sure you choose a lip liner the same color as your lipstick or gloss. This will keep your lipstick from bleeding.
Foundation—This can be tricky so make sure you check your foundation in both natural and artificial light. If possible, see how your make-up base looks in photos, then adjust accordingly. Set your foundation with powder, preferably translucent. Keep it light. You don’t want a cakey look.
